In both stores, you'll find a team fully available for you and your baby, and you'll enjoy all the essential advice and support you need to face this special moment of motherhood.

The birth and development of bybebé

In 1995, a store specializing in mothers and babies – "Miminhos de Bebé" – opened in central Portugal. It was a family business, founded by mother Josefa and her daughter Sandra.

Both passionate about children, they launched a rather simple but truly innovative project in the city of Coimbra, in Portugal, at the time: a store selling maternity clothing and carefully crafted baby layettes, with a counseling service and a close connection to those who frequented this welcoming space.

Customer trust and interest grew, and in 1998, we opened a new retail space selling childcare products, becoming one of the first stores to represent the Bébé Confort brand (created in 1936) in Portugal.

By July 2007, we already had several employees and a wide variety of items: toys, furniture, car safety, home safety, and strollers. The expansion of the activity and the need for a larger space led to the creation of a new company – Sublinhar, Lda – and the opening of a new store – “Bébé Confort Coimbra”.

In 2013, we launched the bybebe.pt online baby store, which has since become a trusted site for parents, as evidenced by the thousands of orders we process every year. The bybebe.pt online store is not only a place where moms and dads can shop conveniently. It's also a baby-friendly place where we provide practical information and where we're available to advise on the best and most suitable solutions.

In 2017, we opened a larger store in Eiras, Coimbra, which has become a national benchmark as one of the leading baby stores in Portugal.

Today, we have 19 employees and continue to operate as an innovative family organization, always attentive to the needs of moms and dads and seeking out the latest and greatest products for newborns and children. For over 15 years, we've been regularly attending the industry's main trade fairs to ensure we're always up to date with the best solutions for our babies and their parents.
